THE MACRO READING GUIDE

Bitcoin Macro Research: Liquidity, Rates and Inflation.

Macro research becomes useful when it identifies a transmission channel. Money supply, credit conditions, trading liquidity and an interest-rate surprise describe different things. This path connects those distinctions to Bitcoin without turning a single macro variable into a mechanical price forecast.

Define the liquidity measure

Start with the difference between trading liquidity, funding access and money or credit conditions. The liquidity guide uses a conceptual channel map. It asks which observation would support the proposed mechanism and which would weaken it.

  1. Bitcoin and Liquidity: Trace the Channel Before the Correlation

A macro series provides context. Explain how it could affect capital allocation and test the relationship without changing the lag after seeing the result.

  2. Bitcoin Funding Rates and Open Interest Explained

Leverage can amplify a move without explaining its original cause. Read the price, exposure and cost of carrying that exposure together.

02 / READING PATH

Separate a policy decision from a surprise

A rate change can already be reflected in asset prices. Compare financing costs and alternative returns with the reason for a decision and the expectation it changes. The examples illustrate a framework; they do not report a current central-bank forecast.

  1. Cheap Credit Has a Cost: Interest Rates and Bitcoin

Explain the proposed transmission channel and distinguish a known policy decision from a forecast.

  2. Bitcoin Futures Basis Explained: Pricing, Hedges and Risk

A positive futures basis is a price relationship. Financing, collateral and execution determine the economics of a hedge.

03 / READING PATH

Read prices and capital flows on their own clocks

The CPI essay describes a price level and unchanged cash against one US basket. The strategic brief places that dated observation beside Bitcoin trend and ETF flows. None of these clocks supplies the missing causal link by itself.

  1. Inflation Slows. The Loss of Purchasing Power Stays.

An annual inflation rate describes a change. The accumulated price level determines what an unchanged cash balance can still buy.

  2. Bitcoin’s Monetary Case Meets a Mixed Market

A monetary conviction and a market thesis need different tests. Read rules, demand and purchasing power on their own reporting clocks.

  3. Bitcoin ETF Flows: Demand, Redemptions and Hedged Positions

A persistent flow is more informative than an isolated session. Check whether a position carries directional exposure or offsets another trade.

Keep the scope beside the thesis

Write down the measure, geography, observation window and proposed channel before comparing charts. Correlated series may share an input, respond to the same event or reflect different reporting calendars. The articles identify these limits beside the evidence.
