How to read
our evidence.
A useful chart names its source, units, observation window and assumptions. Satswise keeps those details beside the argument so a reader can check what a claim actually establishes.
Four kinds of material
Documented definitions describe a protocol, contract or provider metric and link to its primary documentation. Provider variants can use different cohorts, filters and units. A definition is not a current observation.
Observed data carries an explicit cutoff. Our historical figures are fixed snapshots rather than live dashboards. Revising the surrounding text does not advance the observations.
Worked examples use invented inputs to explain a calculation. The MVRV, SOPR, holder-cohort, miner and futures diagrams are teaching examples. They do not represent current market readings.
Editorial interpretation proposes a mechanism, states a counterargument and names evidence that could change the view. Satswise’s Austrian economics perspective favours monetary competition and verifiable rules. That position is disclosed in our editorial approach.
Current published observation windows
- Bitcoin price and trend · through 11 October 2026
- Completed daily Bitstamp BTC/USD closes retained from CryptoDataDownload, with the missing 22 May 2026 candle supplied by the same exchange’s API. The 200-day average uses 200 completed daily closes. The Mayer Multiple divides the close by that average. Drawdown uses the highest daily close in the retained dataset, rather than an intraday high. See the price methods and correction.
- US spot Bitcoin ETF flows · through 9 October 2026
- A short attributed excerpt from Farside’s aggregate table. The subtotal for 5–9 October is −$678.9 million. This window describes net fund flows, with no attribution of investor motives. The ETF guide includes the observations and calculation.
- US consumer prices · January 2020–August 2026
- BLS CPI-U, not seasonally adjusted, distributed by FRED as CPIAUCNS. The price-level index is 100 × later CPI / starting CPI; unchanged cash power is its reciprocal, 100 × starting CPI / later CPI. October 2025 remains a visible missing observation. These measures describe one US basket and exclude interest. Read the CPI method and gap note.
Reproducible calculations and presentation
Historical calculations use the complete retained daily price series. Display paths can retain local highs and lows while reducing the number of points. Phone figures use the same inputs and dates with larger labels, fewer ticks and vertical diagram layouts. A layout change does not create a new data observation.
Input checksums, gap corrections and formulas are recorded with the publication source. Worked-example calculations receive automated assertions. Provider raw price archives are not redistributed; the site publishes attributed research figures and the small ETF excerpt.
The research index lists canonical article URLs, concise answers, evidence limits, publication and modification dates, and the sources linked in each article. The plain-text reading directory provides another way to discover those pages. Both describe the same freely readable material.
Citing Satswise
Cite the specific article title, its canonical URL, the publication or update date and the section containing the claim. When using a chart, include its observation cutoff and source. A recently updated article can contain an older historical snapshot.
For a protocol or provider definition, follow and cite the primary documentation as well. For an original calculation or interpretation, identify it as Satswise’s work and preserve its assumptions. A source link establishes where information came from; it is not an endorsement by that source.
AI assistance is used in preparation, including drafting, source research, calculations and diagrams. Documentation review does not imply a completed hands-on test. See publication responsibility and corrections and disclosures. Report a material error to support@investboard.de with the article URL and supporting evidence.
