Sound money. Clear thinking.

ABOUT SATSWISE

Perspective
for the long view.

Satswise is an editorial home for useful information about Bitcoin, crypto, and the forces shaping digital money.

Who publishes Satswise

Satswise is a research publication owned by David Bartas. The Satswise organization is the byline for these articles. Its focus is strategic information for individual Bitcoin and crypto investors.

Content preparation uses AI assistance for drafting, source research, calculations and diagrams. The publication records source definitions and scope; reproducible calculations receive automated checks. A documentation review is labelled as such and does not imply a hands-on product test or a personal endorsement by the owner.

Our Austrian economics perspective

Satswise favours monetary competition, individual choice and verifiable constraints on dilution. We criticize fiat money and inflation by examining purchasing power, credit incentives and who receives new spending power first. Mises and Hayek inform this perspective; applying their arguments to Bitcoin is our interpretation.

An editorial position is a starting point for inquiry. Sources establish observations and definitions. Our analysis states the proposed mechanism, the strongest counterargument and the evidence that would change a market interpretation. A fixed issuance rule does not guarantee adoption, a stable price or preservation of purchasing power over every horizon.

Read the Austrian case and its limits, our inflation analysis, and the route of new money. Dated strategic briefs connect this perspective to market evidence without turning it into a price target.

What we cover.

Bitcoin’s monetary design and custody. Crypto networks and token economics. Fiat money, inflation and the Austrian argument for monetary choice. The macro context around digital assets. Emerging payment and AI infrastructure.

Our aim is to make the mechanisms easier to understand and the assumptions easier to examine. Articles are freely readable and written for readers who want a strategic perspective.

How we approach it.

Sources first. Material facts link to primary documentation. Each article states its scope and review date.

Interpretation has a label. A documented mechanism, an editorial inference, and an unresolved question are different kinds of information.

Limits stay visible. Charts state their source, observation dates and method. Worked examples and conceptual diagrams are labeled. Documentation reviews do not imply hands-on tests.

General information. Articles explain concepts and research questions. They do not assess an individual reader’s circumstances.

Corrections and updates

Report an error to the publisher, including the article URL, the passage and supporting evidence. Material corrections update the article’s visible date and its source notes. A historical chart keeps its observation cutoff visible even when surrounding explanations are revised.

On 12 October 2026, the publication revised definitions and reading paths and added guides to SOPR, short-term holder cost basis, miner economics and futures basis. Stable protocol explainers are queued for quarterly review; provider definitions and infrastructure documentation for monthly review. Dates change when the content is materially reviewed or updated.

Editorial independence and disclosures

Articles distinguish documented facts, hypothetical examples and Satswise’s interpretation. They do not make personalized investment recommendations. The publisher also works on investment software; Satswise focuses on freely readable research. Paid placement, affiliate links or a material commercial relationship must be labelled beside the relevant coverage when present.
